[ to be completely honest, takao's place is an utter shithole.
it used to be an apartment about sixty years ago, but has since been boarded up and forgotten by the new owners of the chinese restaurant downstairs. they likely assume it's just an attic space full of dust and cockroaches and they're not entirely wrong. (it's pretty difficult to keep clean and something essentially immortal does live there.) she sleeps all day and doesn't use up much water or electricity, so it's a pretty good deal.

though she had never really considered the state of her living situation until she'd brought midorima inside for the very first time. aside from everything being old, for someone's home it was actually quite bare. stacks of old books, magazines and newspaper littered the corners and a small refrigerator sat underneath the largest (not boarded up) window with two cups placed on top. off toward the furthest, darkest corner of the room is a pile of blankets. maybe over a mattress, maybe not. a crude, yet charming canopy has been built, making it something of a DIY nest of sorts. it looks comfortable, but questionable. there's a re-purposed box (originally full of organic bok choy and sprouts, apparently.) for her clothes.

the bathroom is small with the slight hint of mildew. faucets are broken and tiles are cracked, but there's a small collection of what looks to be nice smelling soaps, hair products and the like. she has one towel that has been very well taken care of. all in all, she tried. ]

A-are you feeling okay? Shin-chan? [ she asks as she leads midorima inside, up the fire escape and through the only functional window to her modest accommodations. he was probably from a well to do family, now that she thinks of it. ]

[ the next few days would be pivotal for him. so much that takao couldn't pretend she wasn't concerned. midorima was her problem to take care of now, after all. so, the first thing she does is open the fridge, checking to see how much she actually has to feed the both of them. ]
